Columbia City Jazz makes new home in Lexington!

Columbia City Jazz Conservatory has been in business since 1999 and was named “Best Dance School” by Palmetto Parent two years in a row. They have recently
moved to the Lexington area and are very excited about this new location. Located right off of Sunset Blvd., at 100 Park Place Ct., Columbia City Jazz
shares space with The Firm and offers a multitude of dance classes for every level of dancer.

The Columbia City Jazz Conservatory features a highly qualified faculty. There are 9 regular
faculty members, plus 2 monthly artists in residency. The faculty prides themselves on teaching proper technique and dance terminology, even to
their youngest students. They offer introductory classes, college preparatory classes and everything in between.

Graduates of their program have been accepted into some of the most prestigious dance schools around the nation. They have been seen on Broadway and
even on TV. Their students have made the Top 20 on So You Think You Can Dance and the studio was featured in an episode of MTV’s Original
Series, Made.

At the heart of it all, Columbia City Jazz Dance Conservatory is focused on instilling the love of dance into all their students and really making
a difference in their lives and in the community. In the past, they have worked closely with schools in both Lexington and Richland Counties to
offer scholarships to students. When asked, what is gratifying about your work, CEO Les Mizzell, said, “Knowing that we can make a difference,
one student at a time.”

Columbia City Jazz Dance Conservatory celebrated their new location and their membership with the Greater Lexington Chamber with a ribbon cutting on
October 17. For more information about Columbia City Jazz Conservatory, call (803) 252-0252 or visit their website: http://www.columbiacityjazz.com/home.
