Programs and Initiatives

Our program and initiatives make an impact on members of the community of all ages. Contact us or visit the Chamber to find out about some of our upcoming projects!

Referral Program

We serve your business daily by promoting your brand, services and testimonials to our membership, visitors and community partners through phone calls, in-person meetings and Chamber communications. Call or visit the Chamber when your business needs a vendor for any type of service and drop off your business cards, flyers and promotional items in our visitors center.

Professional Development Seminars

We enjoy seeing the growth of not only our community, but also our professionals. Throughout the year, the Chamber provides complimentary seminars to members that focus on professional and leadership development. From digital marketing to employee engagement, each topic is carefully selected to improve the lives and businesses of our members.

Preferred Caterers

We love local food. That’s why we require those who rent meeting space in the Chamber facility to use restaurants on our Preferred Caterer List for their events. And a different preferred caterer is chosen for every Chamber luncheon for ambassadors and new members.

Gift Certificate Program

Our gift certificates allow members of our community to give certificates as gifts that can be used at all participating businesses listed below. These make great gifts for teachers, coaches, visitors and friends.

Member-2-Member Discounts

The Member-2-Member Discount program is our way of encouraging Chamber businesses to work together. Offers include discounts on office supplies, billboards and advertising, catering, meeting spaces and more. This program will save your business money every day.

Doris Burkett Scholarship Fund

The Doris Burkett Scholarship provides awards $3,000 to two students from Lexington School District One who will be attending either a four year college/university or a technical college. This is a needs-based scholarship with emphasis also placed on moral integrity and the potential of the individual to become a productive citizen. To be eligible for this scholarship, students do not need to qualify for the Life Scholarship or Hope Scholarship, but have potential and desire to further their education.

Applications for the scholarship are being accepted until March 31. For more information, students may contact their school’s guidance counselor.
