The Floyd Family

The 2022 Jay Criscione & Family Golf Tournament honors & celebrates our major supporter the Floyd family.  Cancer not only affects the person with the
disease but also their family, friends, and caregivers.   They lost their father, Dale Floyd, to brain cancer in 2013.  Dale’s brother, Coke, lost his wife, Diane, to Kidney Cancer in 2010. Recently Linda Floyd lost her courageous battle to breast cancer.

Out of tragedy there is always hope.  Coke Floyd is a survivor of Melanoma and Jason Hall is a survivor of a rare cancer Chordoma (notochordal sarcoma).

The Floyd family supports CMC’s mission in providing financial support to local cancer patients while going through treatment.  Coke and the family continue to sponsor the CMC Golf Tournament and many different fundraisers through the year.  Linda was known to rally CMC’s mission and spread awareness within the community.  The
family joins together to provide support and Hope to all cancer patients regardless of age or treatment center.

Cancer of Many Colors – 501 (c) 3

CMC has a Small Gift Program for cancer patients undergoing treatment, regardless of age, type of cancer or treatment center,  that need help with their daily living expenses. We have found that patients undergoing treatment cannot work, which causes them to worry about how to pay for their basic living expenses such as rent, utility bills, food, car payment, and transportation to and from treatment. Our Small Gift Program provides financial relief up to $500. It doesn’t seem like much, but it truly helps those that do not have residual income or savings for basic living expenses while undergoing treatment. It has proven to help patients focus on treatment and not the bills they may not be able to afford by missing work.

The Jay Criscione & Family Golf Tournament raises money through the generosity of people who believe in our cause to help with basic needs. We work directly with the social workers or patient advocates that work directly with the patients in need. These advocates are crucial in helping the patient obtain a Small Gift through Cancer of Many Colors. Some patients do not always have the financial means to take on the challenge of fighting cancer.

We want to be that light of hope!          #hope #courage #LinkingLexington #nevergiveup
