What you won’t find at the new Tijuana Flats
Tijuana Flats is one of Lexington’s newest restaurants to open in the Hobby Lobby shopping center on Sunset Boulevard. Tijuana Flats is known for their
delicious Tex-Mex cuisine, excellent service and fun atmosphere.
The very first Tijuana Flats restaurant opened in Florida in 1995. Now, there are over 100 restaurants in six
different states. Each restaurant employs about 40 full-time and part-time staff members and each staff member learns the six core values at Tijuana
Flats: respect, quality, opportunity, integrity, fun and community.
It was their community focus, in fact, which led the owners to launch the Just In Queso Foundation to support the communities where they live
and work. Since 2007, the Just In Queso Foundation has raised over $3.5 million dollars. The foundation is focused (but not limited to) organizations
benefiting children and our military. Recently, the Just In Queso Foundation hit the $1 million mark in funds raised for breast cancer research.
Tijuana Flats is very excited to be in Lexington not only to serve their delicious tex-mex food, but also to help out those in need. Marketing
Coordinator Sarah Jones added, “We will work closely with the Lexington community and plan to do a lot of in house fundraising for local charities
and schools.”
Tijuana Flats is not your typical taco joint (although they do serve delicious tacos). Each restaurant has a hot sauce bar with over 15 flavors to
choose from and every meal is made to order with fresh ingredients made that very same day including chips, tortillas, queso, guacamole and salsa.
And you won’t find any junk here. Tijuana Flats prides itself on quality- no microwaves or freezers, no canned foods, zero trans-fat cooking oil
and hormone free chicken & steak.
