What Members Thought About Focus After Five Launch

The Chamber launched it’s new networking program, Focus After Five, yesterday evening
by bringing members of the automotive industry together for food and drinks.

Grabbing their plates of food and a glass of wine or beer, members gathered in the board room where they introduced themselves and their businesses.

Once everyone was finished explaining more about their business needs and what automotive needs their services meet, it was time for table discussions.
Each table was given a list of questions to use as prompts so that the members could better understand how their businesses could work together.

Ken MacIntyre, outside marketer for Costco Wholesale, says he won’t miss the next Focus After Five. “I met
five individuals who had never been to Costco and was able to offer them a great incentive for membership thru our business connection promo,” said
Ken. “I found that the event format was a premium opportunity to network… It was exciting when others, using Costco services, contributed as cheerleaders.”

“I love networking at all chamber events, but especially appreciated that this was more focused on a specific industry,” said Lauren Scurry with Larry Hutto State Farm Insurance Agency.
“It was a smaller crowd, so it was easier to connect with the right people.”

Details about the next Focus After Five will be announced soon. See all of the Chamber’s upcoming events at www.lexingtonsc.org/chamber-events.
