Many traveled to Lexington County for Total Eclipse 2017. People from Florida, Texas, Washington D.C. and more brought their families to places like the
Lake Murray Dam to experience the eclipse from the center line.

Ken Ketchie, publisher of High Country Press in Boone, North Carolina, visited a friend in Lexington whose son, a software engineer, was using his drone to capture the special event.

Here is the beautiful, 360-degree video of the sunrise and sunset that he witnessed 100 meters above their home.

Ketchie’s drive back to Boone, normally a three-hour trip, took about five hours due to the traffic post-totality.

See the photos that Ken published from the eclipse here.
