VIDEO: SC Chamber Talks Key Business Issues At Grassroots Meeting

Wednesday morning, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce visited the Lexington Chamber for its annual grassroots meeting.
Each year, the State Chamber hits the road to hear from business leaders across the state about the issues facing their companies. The Grassroots Tour
is part of the South Carolina Chamber Alliance Partnership that connects the state, regional and local Chambers of Commerce and their members.
The feedback received from the meetings will help shape the 2021 Competitiveness Agenda, which lays out the business community’s priorities for next
year’s legislative session.
In the meeting, SC Chamber President & CEO Ted Pitts covers:
- development of the Competitiveness Agenda
- what was accomplished for business in 2020 and what is left to address
- liability protections
- property taxes
- broadband in South Carolina
- education funding
- criminal justice reform
- diversity and inclusion
