Meet May’s Breakfast Speaker, Bob Paulling of MCEC
This month’s breakfast on Tuesday, May 14 and sponsored by Burr Forman McNair will include a keynote on a topic for which we need to call in an expert:
electric cooperatives and Santee Cooper.
Who better to speak on this than a man who has President and CEO of Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative (MCEC) since 2013?
Bob Paulling left his hometown of St. Matthews to attend Clemson University where excelled in athletics and was a member of the 1981 National Championship
football team. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Paulling has been in the electric cooperative arena his entire career, spending the last 16 as CEO. He currently serves as a board member of the Central
Electric Power Cooperative; CarolinaConnect (Board Secretary), SC Power Team (Chairman), Cooperative Electric Energy Utility Supply, Line Equipment
Sales and Electric Cooperatives of SC.
Paulling was instrumental in founding CarolinaConnect Cooperative in 2016, which provides high-speed internet service to members of MCEC and other cooperatives
across the state.
The breakfast program begins at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at RADIUS Church (300 W. Main St.). Admission is $8 and includes entry and meal. See the full Chamber Events Calendar
