May 28-June 1: Chamber Events You Need To Attend

The month is ending with some great Chamber events that you need to attend. From political forums and luncheons where you can meet your candidates and
discuss issues that affect your business to supporting new businesses that are bringing people to our downtown area, here’s what happening from May
28 to June 1. Want to see more? Plan your days by checking out the Chamber events calendar.

Note: The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center will be closed beginning Friday, May 25. It will reopen on Tuesday, May 29.

 


 

MAY 29 | Ribbon Cutting @ Bodhi Thai Dining

Where: Bodhi Thai Dining (126 East Main Street, Lexington, SC)

Time: 4 p.m.

Bodhi Thai Dining is one of the newest restaurants in the heart of Lexington’s Main Street. Come see and experience
this new dining spot at their ribbon cutting on Thursday, May 29 at 4 p.m. They’ve extended happy hour to start immediately following the ceremony
:).

Parking is available in the rear of the restaurant off of Butler Street.

 

 


MAY 30 | Roundtable Luncheon With SC Gov. Henry McMaster

Where: Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center (311 West Main St., Lexington, SC)

Time: Noon

Tickets: $15

The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center will host Gov. Henry McMaster on Wednesday, May 30 at noon at its facility on West Main Street in downtown
Lexington for a roundtable discussion with local small businesses.

During the lunch, the governor and attendees will discuss issues affecting area and surrounding businesses including regulatory reform, economic development,
legislation and more.

This event is open to the public.

About Gov. Henry McMaster

Henry Dargan McMaster is the 117th Governor of South Carolina. Prior to becoming governor, McMaster served two years as lieutenant governor, eight
years as attorney general and four years as United States attorney, appointed by President Ronald Reagan. Governor McMaster is married to Peggy McMaster,
with whom he has two children. Governor and Mrs. McMaster are members of First Presbyterian Church of Columbia.

 


MAY 31 | Candidate Forum: House District 87

Where: Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center (311 West Main St., Lexington, SC)

Time: 6 p.m.

Get to know the candidates for the SC House District 87 on Thursday, May 31 at 6 p.m. at the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center. This event
is free and open to the public.
