Lexington

Ever wondered where Lexington ranks among the other cities in South Carolina? Zippia, a platform that collects data on millions of occupations to improve career outcomes, recently analyzed every city in the state in terms of poverty level, median household income, and unemployment rate to rank the Most Successful Cities.

With a median income of $61,166, poverty level of 10.9% and unemployment rate of 5.4%, Lexington has been ranked #6!

According to Zippia: “Median household income is the most digestible way to understand how wealthy a place really is. The unemployment rate tries to capture the prospects for more people to become rich. And finally, if more people are employed, the brighter (and more successful) that place’s future looks.”

Overall, 62 cities, each having more than 5,000 people, were surveyed.
