Kirkland to Speak on IBM, USC, Flour Partnership at January Breakfast

Bill Kirkland, who has just joined the Chamber board and is a former executive with IBM, will be the speaker at the Chamber’s January breakfast. Kirkland was one of the leading figures in the recent partnership between USC, IBM and Fluor. Kirkland will discuss what that partnership entails and what it means to the future economic viability of the Midlands.

Jason Blackburn, a foreign language teacher at Lexington High School, will make a brief presentation about the World Languages Center at the high school. Two LHS students will also talk about the impact the Center has had on their lives and academic careers.

The January breakfast is being sponsored by South Carolina National Safety Council. The breakfast will be catered by Crescent Moon.
