Holiday Steals and Deals are Back!

With less than 30 days ’til Christmas, it’s crunch time for gifts to buy and wrap! We want to help those last-minute shoppers find the perfect gift from our members while getting a great deal. That’s why each week leading up to Christmas Day, we’ll be sharing what we call Holiday Steals & Deals on our Facebook page.

Just like the Lexington Social Shopping Spree for Small Business Saturday, Holiday Steals and Deals will give your business the opportunity to submit a product or service you want to promote for the holiday season. Except these steals and deals are going to be for our 3,000 Facebook fans!

On December 7, 14, and 21, we’ll combine all the approved submission in a Facebook album so that our fans can easily click through and find details about local gifts and services they can get for someone special.

Here’s how your business can be in our Holiday Steals & Deals albums on Facebook:

1. Be a member of the Greater Lexington Chamber!
   • Not a member? Check out our membership packages then contact Adam DeLoach at [email protected] or (803) 359-6113 to learn how to sign up.
2. Decide what product/service you want to feature.
   • This is the hardest part! If you’re on the fence about which product or service to submit to be featured, ask yourself:
     • What does my business offer that would be a great holiday gift?
     • Are we offering a special discount on this product/service? If not, could we?
     • What products have people liked most on our social media? If there’s one special something that your business has that is the answer to all of the questions above, chances are it will be a big hit on our shopping spree and drive customers to your front door.
3. Snap a quick photo!
   • Stage your product in a creative way or even place your business card around it. Square format is always the best.
4. Submit your photo by Tuesday to be included in that week’s Steals & Deals post.
   • After you finish your photoshoot, send your picture in an email to [email protected] and include:
     • business name
     • business address
     • name of the product/service pictured
     • any special discount information
     • website
     • social media links/handles
     • Specific submission deadlines are Dec. 6 for week one, Dec. 14 for week two and Dec. 20 for the final week.
5. Like the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center on Facebook!
   • Like us on Facebook so you can see what other businesses are offering this holiday season and share your deal with your fans when it’s posted.

It’s that simple. Those who have entered will be notified whether their entree will be featured in the album for that week.

Note:

• Any submission submitted by a non-member of the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center will not be considered.
• Any inappropriate or profane comments will not be considered.
• Entries will be selected by the staff at the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center to be featured. Those featured will be contacted by the Chamber no later than the Tuesday prior to the posting of the Holiday Steals & Deals album for the week.
