Meet Brandon Serio
How did you get started in this line of work?
I honestly wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in life before I started here at Farm Bureau. One of the other agents here introduced me to the career and it fit what I was looking for as my career.
What has been your most satisfying moment in business or what motivates you to go to work every day?
My motivation comes from my family and my clients. Every day I wake up is a new opportunity to meet someone new and build new relationships. I enjoy exceeding my client’s expectations and giving them the best service possible.
How do you define business success or to what do you attribute your success in this position?
In this position, it’s not only about creating new business, but also serving your existing business. My success has come from being a great servicing agent.
In what key activities would you recommend business professionals invest their time?
Networking has been the biggest activity I try to do. I have gotten more business from networking and using referrals than I have from just solely reaching out to people.
Who has been your greatest inspiration?
My greatest inspiration has defiantly been my mom. She’s worked so hard for years to make sure I had everything I needed to live. She’s always put us kids first and made sure we had what we needed. She has gone out of her way her whole life to do for us and give us the childhood she never had.

My business deals in various forms of insurance such as home, auto, life, and health. As an agent, I focus on building new business and serving my existing clients.
Explain the mission statement or tagline of your business.
“We’re one of the state’s largest auto, and property insurers. Providing excellent customer service and competitive rates is as important today as it was when we opened our doors for business in 1955.”
This mission statement means we are focused on providing the same amount of customer service as we were in 1955 when we were trying to build the company up.
Who is your typical client or customer?
We service anyone and everyone who wants to see if we can save them some money.
What is unique about this business or what is the difference between your company and similar companies?
What’s unique about Farm Bureau is we are all local. Everything we do from writing business to claims is done in the area. Our state office and claims center are based in Cayce, SC.
