Greater Lexington Chamber Honors Local Businesses, Professionals

LEXINGTON, SC – The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center (GLCVC) honored local businesses and professionals
at its Chamber Awards Luncheon on Tuesday at Lexington Church of Christ.

This annual ceremony allows Chamber members to nominate their fellow members to be recognized because of their outstanding and admirable leadership within
the business community and the community at large.

Austin McVay, commercial relationship manager at TD Bank, earned the Young Professional of the Year Award. McVay serves on the GLCVC Small
Business Council and is a member of the Leadership Lexington County Class of 2019.

Floor Pro, a family owned and operated professional carpet cleaning business serving residential locations and commercial businesses in
the Midlands, received the Small Business of the Year Award. Floor Pro has been in business since 2013 and has experienced significant growth in business
since moving to Lexington in 2015. Floor Pro received the Business of the Year Torch Award for Market Place Ethics from the Better Business Bureau
in 2018.

Burkett Burkett & Burkett CPAs earned the Large Business of the Year Award. The full-service regional accounting and business consulting
firm has offices in West Columbia & Rock Hill.

Joel Merrill, consultant with FASTSIGNS of Columbia, was recognized for his volunteerism and advocacy for the Chamber with the Ambassador
of the Year Award.

Shelley Metropol, broker/owner of Experienced Real Estate Group, was honored with the coveted Mike Till Award. This award is given to
an individual who best exemplifies the characteristics of Mike Till – friendliness, perseverance and dedication to the Lexington community. Metropol
is a long-time resident of Lexington and past chair of the GLCVC Board of Directors.
