Get Ready for Holiday Season With This Free Lunch Series

The Women’s Business Center of SC at Columbia College (WBCofSC) is teaming up with Google to help small businesses get online and grow with a free lunch
workshop series this fall.

This month’s lunch on October 17 at noon will include expert tips to help local businesses make the best of the holiday season from facilitator Katherine
Swartz, executive director of McNair Center for Entrepreneurism and Office of Community Engagement at Columbia College.

Katherine Swartz Hilton is a champion, cheerleader and cajoler of women entrepreneurs and leaders.

Katherine serves as Executive Director of McNair Center for Entrepreneurism and Office of Community Engagement at Columbia College, a nonprofit liberal
arts college in Columbia, SC. In addition, she is co-founder of the Women’s Business Center of South Carolina at Columbia College. As a certified
trainer and facilitator for Kauffman FastTrac and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Katherine educates, coaches and connects women entrepreneurs
across the state, propelling them from start to sustainability to growth. In 2017 the National Association of Women Business Owners reported that
South Carolina ranked number four in the country for women launching businesses.

She has extensive experience working with professional associations and charitable nonprofit organizations in Columbia and Atlanta over the past 18
years – each position threaded by success in redeveloping and launching programs, significantly impacting the organization’s mission and revenue
fulfillment.

A graduate of the University of SC (BA, Communications) and of Columbia College (MA, Organizational Leadership), Katherine also holds credentials and
certificates from regional and national organizations. She serves as Vice Chair of the Richland Library Board of Trustees and on the advisory board
of the Palmetto Center for Women.

Katherine has sweat equity as the wife of an entrepreneur, Gregory Hilton (SOCO, Period 3, 1 Million Cups). They are new parents of Pascal and reside
in historic Earlewood in downtown Columbia.
