Flood Relief: How Paul Davis Helped During the Historic 2015 SC Flood
Every member that renews at at Tier 3 or higher receives a Facebook Live video at their place of business. And this live interview with Lucia Ellison of Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling brought us back to October 4, 2015 when South Carolina experienced a flood of historic proportions.
It was around 5:15 a.m. that morning when Lucia received the first of many calls for help. “[the calls] were nonstop,” said Ellison. “We had everyone coming in. We never expected it to be this bad.”
And as the staff at Paul Davis continued to go down their list of those in need, they realized just how bad things were when roads, bridges and other means to access homes were destroyed. “What would take 20 minutes to get to a certain location was taking them an hour or even longer,” said Ellison.
The effort, commitment and perseverance that the staff showed made Ellison proud. “They worked every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, for about two straight weeks,” she said. “No one complained. They were all here and they all did that for us.”
