Attention Lexington Chamber Shareholders Who Conduct Business in Richland County

This is a courtesy reminder from the Richland County Business Service Center in Columbia, SC. Businesses, organizations, and 1099 contractors are reminded that Richland County business licenses expired on December 31. The deadline to renew is March 15. Renewal forms were mailed in early January.

Richland County offices are still closed due to the pandemic. Therefore, business licenses may only be renewed online
or by mail. Businesses, organizations, and 1099 contractors are strongly encouraged to renew online here to save $10 and time, ensure delivery and accurate payment, and expedite application processing. Instructions to renew online are also online.
(Please be aware that people renewing for the first time are not able to renew online, but these renewals were sent via email.)

Businesses, organizations, and 1099 contractors renewing online must submit any required documentation by email within 24 hours of renewing online
to accompany the application.

Those mailing renewal applications are strongly encouraged to calculate their business license fees online here before mailing their applications.

For questions regarding the renewal application, please review the online Instructions. Businesses are encouraged to review the County Business Service Center website – it has been updated with lots of useful information.

Businesses may also contact the office by e-mail at [email protected] or call 803-576-2287. (Please
be aware that due to higher call and email volumes, response times will be rather longer than usual.)
