For ladies seeking a unique boutique shopping experience, one of the Greater Lexington Chamber’s newest members is a must see.

Mainstream Boutique recently joined the Chamber and celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony in early June. The name could be a bit misleading, because the boutique is anything but mainstream or ordinary.

Mainstream Boutique offers a variety of affordable, fashion-forward pieces for women of all ages, and the inventory is constantly changes with new arrivals daily.

“Mainstream Boutique is a truly multi-generational shopping destination,” owner Elliott Bridgers said. “New fashions arrive daily, so we are able to provide women with a personalized shopping experience and updated inventory that can’t be found at department stores. We carry unique clothing (sizes 2-16), jewelry (some handmade) and shoes.”

The store, which opened in September 2014, is located in the boutique section of Devine Street in downtown Columbia. Mainstream Boutique draws shoppers from all over Columbia and the Midlands. The address is 3217 Devine Street.

“Helping women put together outfits for special events or their lifestyles in general is the most gratifying part of my work,” Bridgers said. “My staff and I also love merchandising inventory on the floor to give customers ideas of how to mix different pieces.”

With shoppers coming from all of the area, Bridgers would love to see some fellow Chamber members browsing her boutique.

“I’m very excited to be part of the Lexington Chamber,” she said. “We would love for you to come visit us and see what we have.”
