Nominations for 2022 Chamber Awards – Nominations Closed
The Lexington Chamber & Visitors Center is pleased to announce its annual Chamber Awards Recognition Program. These awards recognize the achievements of our shareholders and celebrates the outstanding efforts of our business owners and employees.
The Chamber is seeking nominees who are outstanding in their profession, deliver quality customer service, and are committed community champions. Self nominations will not be accepted.
Recipients will be honored at the Chamber’s Awards & Annual Meeting Luncheon in August. Individual tickets and sponsorships for half (4 tickets) and full tables (8 tickets) will be available. Save the date and plan to join us to celebrate our honorees on:

Deadline for nominations is Friday, July 22, 2022 by 12:00 p.m.
While we ask that you provide your name as the nominator, your nomination will remain anonymous. Each nominee will be contacted the following week requesting a detailed summary of how they meet the award criteria. These descriptive summaries will be due by August 1, 2022.
Nominations are being accepted for the following five awards:
Small Business of the Year
Companies being nominated for this award must be a Chamber shareholder or employee of a shareholder company, have been in business for at least two years and have less than 50 full-time employees.
Large Business of the Year
Companies being nominated for this award must be a Chamber shareholder or employee of a shareholder company, have been in business for at least two years and have more than 50 full-time employees.
Young Professional of the Year
Individuals nominated for this award must be between the ages of 22 and 40, be actively engaged in civic and community activities, and be a shareholder of the Chamber or an employee of a shareholder company.
NEW – Volunteer of the Year
Individuals nominated for this award must be someone who demonstrates outstanding participation and leadership in Chamber activities. They must be a Chamber shareholder or an employee of a shareholder company.
Mike Till Impact Award
This award is given in memory of Mike Till, a past chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, who was a beloved leader in the Lexington business community. It will be awarded to an individual who best exemplifies Mike’s character of humility, friendliness, perseverance and civic engagement.
- Strength of character and courage, and serves as a role model for present and future generations
- Involvement in the social, cultural, and/or educational advancement of others
- A willingness to serve others with vision and purpose without personal gain, and active involvement in local community and/or civic organizations.
- The nominee must either be a Chamber shareholder or employed by a shareholder company.
During the ceremony, we also recognize our Ambassador of the Year and Ambassador Rookie of the Year.
