Wireless Communications celebrated its grand opening and Chamber membership with a ribbon cutting June 24. Based in Greenville, the company is a premium retailer for Verizon Wireless.

Setzler to speak at July 12th Breakfast Meeting
Sen. Nikki Setzler is the guest speaker at Tuesday’s Breakfast Meeting. The Lexington County lawmaker, who is second in seniority in the SC Senate, will recap the recently concluded General Assembly legislative session. He also will discuss how recent legislation will affect businesses and provide his perspective on the recent Amazon controversy.
The meeting, sponsored by Prestige Appliance, begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Lexington.

South Carolina Employer E-Verify Seminar
The state legislature amended the SC Illegal Aliens and Private Employment Act to require that all employers enroll in and verify their new hires through E-Verify beginning January 1, 2012. The SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify office, is hosting seminars in Columbia on August 3 at Midlands Technical College, Airport Campus, for employers on the new law's requirements and how to use E-Verify. |
