IN THE PAST...

Allison SanfordWise Words - “Difficulty is opportunity

To whom does Allison Sanford turn when she needs a bit of wisdom? Albert Einstein. “In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity,” the scientific genius once said. And Allison Sanford, teenage ballerina, adult yoga devotee, and Palmetto Health’s Director of Hospitals Marketing, holds tight to that philosophy.

IN THE PRESENT...

auction basketWe can hear the waves, we can taste the salt …

And we can really feel the heat! Today’s warm weather prompted Randy and Tracy to check out one of our favorite items for the Chamber’s Oyster Roast and Auction. Jordin Clamp, owner of E-Squared Creations, designed and donated this sturdy market basket and terrycloth lounge chair cover, which she embroidered in contrasting lime and navy with the South Carolina palmetto tree and crescent moon.

Focus on the Future Update

Focus on the FuturePledges are coming in for the Chamber’s new office and Visitors Center on Main Street. Mike Crapps, President/CEO of First Community Bank, is chairing the Focus on the Future committee, members of which are asking for pledges. Approximately half of the $1 million goal has been met. Construction is slated to begin before spring. To make your pledge, contact Mike at 951-0500 or Chamber President/CEO Randy Halfacre at 359-6113.
