Blowfish Total Eclipse/Centerline Jerseys Are A Home Run!
Lexington County, SC- In front of a full house, standing room only crowd of ticket holders, sponsors, host families, and public officials
were on hand as the Lexington County Blowfish unveiled
the one of a kind, Total Eclipse/Centerline players jerseys yesterday at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.
The original themed jerseys will be worn by the Blowfish players opening night, Thursday, June 1st and a number of other games throughout the 2017 season. These unique jerseys are presented by the Blowfish and Carolina Comfort Heating & Air.
The Total Eclipse Jerseys will be auctioned off the final Saturday, August 5th home game of the regular season. Fans will have an opportunity to bid on the jerseys during the game. Winners will join the players on field and be presented their Total Eclipse jersey.
Proceeds from the player jersey auction will benefit science programs in the Lexington County Elementary Schools.
On August 21st at 2:41 pm the “Centerline” of the total solar eclipse will cut through the heart Lexington County and cast total darkness for
over two minutes. The Lexington County Blowfish in cooperation with the Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission will open the Lexington
County Baseball Stadium and field as a free, safe and central location to view the Great American Eclipse. Events at the stadium are still under consideration,
but may include music, crafts, food, drinks and fun.
The “centerline” will make Lexington County the prime spot to see the transcontinental total eclipse as it delves West to East from Oregon directly through South Carolina and almost precisely the spot of Lexington County Baseball Stadium, home of the Blowfish.
