The Courage Center

Since 2016, The Courage Center has been the ONLY Recovery
Community Organization in the state providing no-cost peer-based recovery
support services specifically to the underserved adolescent population, ages
14-18, emerging adults, ages 19-26, and their family members. Through these
services, countless families have been positively impacted by learning how to
recover together.

Through
these services, caregivers learn to effectively reinforce positive behavior,
communicate more effectively with their children, practice self-care, and
resolve conflict in healthy ways so that the family learns to heal together. Adolescents
discontinue harmfully using substances and delay future use by engaging with a
new community of peers with whom they connect and from whom they receive
support and encouragement to live healthier lives. Emerging adults receive peer and mutual
aid support on their journeys to recovery from chemical dependence while we
help them navigate available wrap-around services to help them meet basic needs
such as food, clothing, employment, and medical services.
