Town of Lexington’s Caractor Park Receives “Little Free Library”

This month, the Town of Lexington became the proud recipient of a “Little Free Library” as part of Hewitt Foundation.

“We are proud the Hewitt Foundation selected Caractor Park as a Little Free Library location. This is an engaging outlet for readers to have access
to books and promoting a healthy quality of life by encouraging readers to stay outside and take in fresh air,” says Mayor Steve MacDougall.

The Town of Lexington also has a “Little Free Library” at Virginia Hylton Park.

The Hewitt Foundation was established in 2015 in memory of Parker and Haley Hewitt. The foundation was formed to educate the general public about community service needs, encourage increased civic participation in meeting those needs and promote policy to improve the lives of community members.
