Mosquito Joe

Ever been outside enjoying your yard only to be irritated and annoyed by bugs?

Not anymore.

The solution is right here in Lexington and has been since March 1 when Mosquito Joe of Lake Murray opened. The business, located at 603 East Main Street, Suite A, recently joined the Greater Lexington Chamber and celebrated its membership with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“We can rid your entire yard of mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, spiders, and 30 other pests,” said owner Trey Powell. “We can keep them away for weeks at a time so you can enjoy your outdoor space.”

Mosquito Joe of Lake Murray employs 10 people and serves both commercial and residential clients.

“My family loves Lake Murray and we know from personal experience, if you live on the lake, you have bugs,” said Powell, who hopes to continue growing the business in the Lexington area. “Our goal is to grow our business and reputation and become the go-to source for mosquito control and outdoor pest control around Lake Murray.”

According to Powell, the most gratifying aspect of the job is a satisfied customer.

“We love the feedback we get from customers after their first treatment,” he said. “They are so excited to be able to enjoy their yard again without being eaten alive.”

Not only is Powell proud of the quality product Mosquito Joe offers, but he is also proud of the employees his company has hired.

“We don’t require contracts and we guarantee results. All of our spray technicians are Lexington County firefighters who work for us part time,” Powell said. “You NEVER have to worry about who is coming to treat your property.”

Powell also wants his fellow Greater Lexington Chamber members to know his business is locally owned and operated. His family lives in Lexington, and his children attend Lexington County schools.
