Recap: Annual Spring Golf Tournament

May 20, 2019 | Posted By: Connor Watkins

The best way to start the work week is with a beautiful day of golf; at least that’s how we felt as the 29th Annual Spring Golf Tournament began yesterday at the pristine Country Club of Lexington.

The 29 four-man teams teeing off at 8 a.m. enjoyed breakfast sponsored by Kay Plumbing and Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative as well as some tasty bloody maries concocted by Mosquito Joe of Lake Murray.

Like our teams, there was no shortage of businesses throughout the course as every green and tee was occupied so teams could get the chance to meet and reconnect with members and local professionals. See the full photo gallery on Facebook!

Special thanks to Budget Blinds of Lexington/Chapin and Great Southern Homes for driving the beverage carts all day and making sure all our players stayed refreshed.

Between tee times, golfers and sponsors got the chance to have lunch together thanks to US Foods.

And before long, it was 1:30 in the afternoon and our other 29 four-man teams were heading to their starting tees!

A newly added touch this year was Stoney Creek Cigars preparing fresh, hand rolled cigars in a variety of styles and blend for golfers to purchase and enjoy together.

After the last team made their way in from the course, everyone bit into a great dinner from Salsaritas.

Here are the teams who came out on top this year!
