May 11| Lexington County Choral Society presents Sounds of the Big Band
Where: Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church (5503 Sunset Blvd, Lexington, SC)
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Lexington County Choral Society presents Sounds of the Big Band! Special guests will be the Dick Goodwin Big Band. The concert will feature a variety of sounds from the era of the big band. Dick is even arranging some Burt Bacharach tunes for your enjoyment. It will be a fun evening for the entire family!

May 11 & 12 | Cabaret Le Village

May 12 | Lake Murray Triathalon
Where: Dreher Island State Park
Time: 8 AM
The Lake Murray Triathlon has become a favorite chance for all South Carolina Triathletes to showcase their talents against the best in the state.
The swim is one counter-clockwise 750 meter loop. Wetsuits are normally legal but the water temperature borders the legal limit each year. Depending on the wind swimmers may encounter light to moderate chop with a small current.
The bike course is long for a sprint distance event - one 16 mile loop. Road surfaces are good with a few rough areas scattered through the course. This is to be expected as the course winds along completely rural roads. Only 5 turns on this course and they are marked with pavement arrows and directional signs. Police and volunteers man the proper intersections.
The 5k run course is very unique in that runners get several opportunities to see where they are in relation to the competition. A one loop course with several out and back spurs gives athletes a chance to see where they are on the course. Relatively flat and shaded, this run course can be very fast.

A little atmosphere goes a long way in treating your mom to the perfect Mother’s Day weekend. Come let her stroll through our lush flowering gardens and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
The Saturday before Mother’s Day is always fun at Wingard’s. This year, shop for that special gift for Mom…a rose, some flowers, something from The Lake Murray Room in our Gift Shoppe or something tasty from our Fresh Produce Market.
Specials for the day are yet to be determined. Watch for updates closer to the date!

May 12 | Lexington Wine Walk
Where: Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St., Lexington, SC)
Time: 6-10 p.m.
The 8th Annual Lexington Wine Walk on Main will take place Saturday, May 12th, 2018 from 6pm-10pm at Icehouse Amphitheater, located at 107 W. Main Street. Local musical sensation The Going Commando Band will perform great classic rock, country and blues hits throughout the night.Ticket price includes a commemorative wine glass, wine tastings and hors d'oeuvres. You must be 21 or older to attend Wine Walk and have a photo ID to enter.
