Be A Part of Lexington’s Small Business Saturday Social Shopping Spree!

Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

We want to make sure that our over 3,600 Twitter followers know where they can get the best gifts and support Lexington businesses at the same time by taking them on our Social Shopping Spree.

Here’s how your business can get a special shout out in our Social Shopping Spree:

1. Be a member of the Greater Lexington Chamber!
   • Not a member? Check out our membership packages then contact Adam DeLoach at [email protected] or (803) 359-6113 to learn how to sign up.
2. Decide what product/service you want to feature.
   • This is the hardest part! If you’re on the fence about which product or service to submit to be featured, ask yourself:
     • What does my business offer that would be a great holiday gift?
     • Are we offering a special discount on this product/service? If not, could we?
     • What products have people liked most on our social media? If there’s one special something that your business has that is the answer to all of the questions above, chances are it will be a big hit on our shopping spree and drive customers to your front door.
3. Snap a quick photo!
   • Stage your product in a creative way or even place your business card around it. Square format is always the best.
4. Submit your photo by Friday, November 18.
   • After you finish your photoshoot, send your picture in an email to [email protected] and include:
     • business name
     • business address
     • name of the product/service pictured
     • any special discount information
     • website
     • social media links/handles. All entries must be submitted by Friday, November 18, at 5:00 PM.
5. Follow @lexchamber on Twitter.
   • Follow @lexchamber on Twitter and see all the good finds around town. If there’s a great deal or gift grab at a local Lexington store, let us know by using the hashtag #lexshopsmall.

• Any submission submitted by a non-member of the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center will not be considered.
• Any inappropriate or profane comments will not be considered.
• Entries will be selected by the staff at the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center to be featured. Those featured will be contacted by the Chamber no later than Tuesday, November 22.
