Lexpo 2018 Breaks Records, Businesses Thrive

July 15, 2018 | Posted By: [email protected]

The Main Street of River Bluff High School was packed with over 100 businesses Wednesday for the 2018 Business Lexpo, the largest trade show to date hosted
by the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center.

With the help of our sponsors and companies like Something Borrowed, we were able to transform the hallway into a pop-up mall with a dedicated space
for each business to call their own and brand from top to bottom.

The Haven Coffee House broke the ice during the vendor networking hour by providing fresh coffee. This gave representatives of each business
the chance to leave their booth and walk throughout the space to see what other businesses were offering prior to doors opening to the public.

“This truly felt like a community,” said Lucia Ellison with Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Greater Columbia. “It was interesting
to see how many business connections we have.”

When the doors opened to welcome everyone else in the community, hundreds showed up including WACH Fox’s Natalie Parsons who featured many of our businesses
on social media and during the Hometown Hotspots segment of the networks nightly broadcast.

Fully Promoted’s Laura Sullivan says she can already enough business from the expo that exceeds her investment. “It was energizing to
connect with so many other businesses and residents from the area that I may not have otherwise had an occasion to interact with directly. Building
awareness of your brand through events like this really must be part of your marketing strategy.

If you didn’t get to make it to the Lexpo but still need another unique networking opportunity, the 2018 Fall Golf Classic on September 27 at Golden Hill Golf & Country Club should be on your calendar! See All Chamber Events
