Lexington One Board of Trustees names three Superintendent-elect/Superintendent finalists

Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees unanimously selected Dr. Chris Ballenger, Mr. Keith Price, and Dr. Erin Slater as the finalists for the position of Superintendent-elect/Superintendent. A total of 12 candidates applied for the position. The application period ran from January 31 to February 26, 2024.

Speaking on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Chairwoman Anne Marie Green said, “We are very pleased to have these three highly qualified educational professionals express their interest in leading our school district. We are scheduling a community meet and greet on April 8, 2024, from 5 to 6 p.m. for employees, parents, students, and community members to meet our finalists at Central Services. The final round of interviews will take place following the meet and greet. 

“We look forward to our community learning more about these leaders as we move into the final phase of our search and receiving their feedback. I also want to thank our Board of Trustees for their hard work in this search process. We know how important this decision is to the entire Lexington One family, and we are dedicated to a successful search process.”
